Studying at Amba School was the golden period of my school life. As I write this, I feel nostalgic about the heart touching memories of teachers who served to be friends, guide as well as mentor. Those teachers have not only educated me for my grade but have also imparted me life values. In phases of my life, they have pushed me on the path where I can run, stretched their hands to pull me when I slipped, walked along with me when I lost confidence and lifted me when I couldn’t move further; just to ensure that I reach my destiny. What I am right now and what persists me to move further is all due to the value educations provided to me at ASE and Gnanmandir. It has ignited in me a burning desire to pass on all theses value to the new generation.

When I was in Std 10, one of the internal examinations paper got leaked and everyone except some students came to know about it. Everyone preferred the shortcut way. Next day, to everyone’s surprise, the paper was different. A special meeting was held with the management and they shared their vision for us and the importance of honesty, sincerity and most importantly “having confidence on self instead of falling into comparison” which touched my heart. It changed my perspective towards examinations completely. Ever since then, I have learnt to rely only on my strength and make my muscles stronger to excel.
A unique feature of Amba School is Akram Science which has provided me the practical ways to solve personal and academic problems easily to foster my growth and development.
મારું નામ રાખોલિયા ઋત્વી છે. હું અમદાવાદના સેટેલાઈટ એરિયામાં રહેતી હતી. મને અભ્યાસમાં બિલકુલ રસ નહોતો. હું નામાંકિત સ્કૂલમાં ભણતી હતી, પણ મેં ક્યારેય હોમવર્ક કે નોટબુક્સ વ્યવસ્થિત કર્યું ન હતું. સરળ શબ્દોમાં કહે તો હું ‘ઠોઠ નિશાળીયો’ હતી. શિક્ષકથી માંડીને આચાર્ય સુધી દરેક મને આ રીતે ઓળખે ! એવા એક પણ ટીચર ન હતા જેના હાથનો માર મેં ના ખાધો હોય!
હું પાંચમાં ધોરણમાં હતી ત્યારે અંબા સ્કૂલનું ઓપનીંગ થયું અને હું આ સ્કૂલમાં આવી. શરૂઆતમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓની ખૂબ ઓછી સંખ્યા હતી. અહીં આવીને પહેલી વખત હું મોનીટર બની. અંબા સ્કૂલમાં બધા શિક્ષકો એટલા કેરીંગ કે હંમેશા પ્રેમથી સમજાવે, છતાં પણ હું હોમવર્ક તો ના જ કરતી. પણ અહીં મને જે સમજણ મળી, તે દુનિયાની કોઇ મોટી સ્કૂલમાં ક્યારેય ન મળે. ધીમે- ધીમે મારા જીવનમાં ચમત્કાર થવા લાગ્યાં. જે ઠોઠ નિશાળિયાને ૭૫% થી વધારે માર્ક્સ નહોતા આવ્યા. તેને ધોરણ આઠમાં ૯૦% આવ્યા અને તે વખતે સ્કૂલની મારી હાજરી હતી ૧૦૦% ! પણ આની પાછળ મારો કોઈ હાથ ન હતો. બધા શિક્ષકો અમારી એટલાં નજીક હતા, અમારું એટલું ધ્યાન રાખે અમને એમને દુઃખ આપવાનું મન જ ન થાય અને જાણે આપણે એમના માટે ભણવું પડે. અંબા સ્કૂલ એવી છે કે બધાને એક સરખા પ્રેમથી ભણાવવામાં આવે છે.
જયારે હું બાર સાયન્સમાં હતી ત્યારે બહારના ફેકલ્ટી ભણાવવા આવતા. એમને બધાને બીજી સ્કૂલના સ્ટુડન્ટ કરતાં અમારામાં કંઇક અલગ દેખાતું. કહેવાય છે કે-“ સારા વ્યક્તિ સાથે રહેવાથી સારા વ્યક્તિ બની શકો.” બસ એમ જ અંબા સ્કૂલમાં બાળકોને નાનપણથી જ એવા સુંદર સંસ્કાર મળે છે, જે મોટાં થઈને વર્તનમાં વણાઈ જાય છે. ખરી રીતે તો અંબા સ્કૂલ એક મંદિર સમાન છે, વર્તમાન સમયનું એક આશ્ચર્ય જ છે !
મેં અંબાસ્કુલમાં ૩ વર્ષ અભ્યાસ કર્યો હતો.અંબાસ્કુલમાં ભણતા દરેક વિધાર્થીને પોતાની અંદર રહેલી સ્કીલને ખીલવવા માટે,વિકસાવવા માટે ખૂબ જ સરસ પ્લેટફોર્મ મળી રહે છે.મને ડ્રોઈંગ અને આર્ટ-ક્રાફ્ટનો ખૂબ જ શોખ હતો. જ્યારે એ સ્કીલ ધ્યાનમાં આવી, તેમણે માર્ગદર્શન જ નહીં પણ એટલું પ્રોત્સાહન આપ્યું કે આજે હું,આ ફિલ્ડમાં ઘણો આગળ વધી રહ્યો છું.
